1. General Questions

What is the Medufy Doctor's Portal?

The Medufy Doctor's portal is a secure platform that allows verified professionals to provide services such as virtual consulations, schedule home visits, request laboratoy tests, fill prescriptions and manage patient data. It also allows for onboarded professionals to engage in continuous education within the Medufy ecosystem.

Who can sign up as a doctor om Medufy?

Only licensed and registered medical professional with UMDPC- Uganda Medical and Dentists Professional Council with valid and verified up to date credentials are eligible to sign up. All accounts go through a verfication process before activation.

2. Account and Verfication

How do I regidter as a doctor on Medufy?

Navigate to the Register button on the homepage and follow thr prompts to complete your profile. Submit all the requested documents and wait for a reply.

What documents are required for verification?

We request for;

  • An image of valid Annual Practicing License
  • An image of your National ID or Paasport
  • A clear coloured passport photograph

How long does the verification process take?

Verification typically takes 3 to 7 business days, depending on completeness and accuracy of your submitted documents and volume of pendimg submissions.

Can I update my profile after verification?

Yes, apart from a few details that we will make uneditable such as your image and name, you can change the rest of your profile details any time from your settings page.

3. Consultations and Scheduling

How do I manage my consulation schedule?

You can set up your availability (date and time), your preferred consultation types ie video, voice, text or in-person in the "My Calender" section of your dashboard.

Can I reshedule or cancel an appointment?

Yes, you can reschedule or cancel appointments at least 1 hour in advance. Below that, the appointment will be noted as missed by you. Patients will be automatically notifed of any changes.

Will I get alerts for new or updated appintments?

Yes, you will recieve notifications via:

  • Email
  • In-app notifications
  • SMS

4. Payments and earnings

How do I receive payments?

Earnings from consultations (virtual or home visits) are processed based on the frequency chosen while updating your profile ie bi-weekly or monthly via your selected payment methos such as mobile money or bank transfer.

Does Medify charge a commission?

Yes, a commission fee is deducted from each paid consultation as per the percentage stated in the onboarding documents.

5. Medical Records and Privavcy

How is my patient's information protected?

Medufy complies with both national and international data protection laws and regulations. All records within our system are ecnrypted and only accesible to the primary medical professionals involved in their care on a need to know basis with the patient's consent.

Can I upload and share prescriptions or records?

Yes, you can share consultation notes, treatmemnt plans, prescriptions and laboratory results securely through the Medufy platform with the patient's consent.

6. Support and Community

What do I do if I have technical issues during a virtual consultation?

Medufy provides live chat support as well as email support which can both be accessed via respective buttons, Live Chat or Report an Issue to create a ticket.

Is there a doctor community on Medufy?

Yes, there is a professional community where doctors can hold case discussions, share updates and insights as well as find advertisements for events and webinars.

Can I contribute articles or case studies?

Absolutely! You can share with peers through the professional community.
